Speedo League Final 10th December 2006, Manchester Aquatic Centre The final of the Division 2 Speedo League was held at Manchester Aquatics on Sunday 10th December and the Danes were looking for a good performance. Hot favourites were Newton Hall followed by Fleetwood, and Chorley Marlins. For many of the Danes swimmers this was their first time in a 50m pool and they were all looking forward to swimming at the prestigious venue. |

Post Office Counter Gala 2nd December 2006 On Saturday 2nd December the Danes hosted the Post Office Counters Gala, which is for swimmers up to the age of twelve. We were expecting a good show from our swimmers due to recent results and we were not disappointed. |

Warrimgton Warriors meet level 3 2nd/3rd December 2006 A number of swimmers from Dane Valley Swimming Club took part in the Level 3 Meet held by Warrington Warriors on the weekend of the 2nd / 3rd December looking to fine tune their bodies for the important Speedo Final at the Manchester Aquatics on Sunday 10th December which by the time you read this report we hopefully have had a great weekend. |

Wrexham 5th Junior Sprint Meet 18th November 2006 This weekend it was the turn of the Youngsters to uphold the Danes Tradition of being a strong club. Five swimmers made the journey to Waterworld, Wrexham for their 5th Junior Sprint Meet on Saturday 18th November where there were 28 clubs represented so the opposition was really tough. |

Speedo League 11th November 2006 Broughton, Salford The second round of the Speedo League was held at Broughton, Salford on Saturday 11th November and the Danes were looking for a good result so as to build on the current overall 10th place in the league which was achieved in the first round. |

"Geoff Drew" meet 28th October 2006, Holywell On Saturday 28th October two swimmers from Dane Valley Swimming Club, Jack Carroll and Scott Coutts made the journey to Holywell to compete in the long distance races with Jack swimming first in the Boys 15yr and Over 800m freestyle event. |

Speedo League 14th October 2006 Salt Ayre, Lancaster On Saturday 14th October the Danes travelled to their first Speedo League Gala held at Salt Ayre, Lancaster, Expectations were high after a superb run of gala wins in both the Crusader League and the Peaks & Plains culminating in becoming champions of both leagues. |

COSSACS Open 30th Sept/1st Oct 2006 Stoke On Saturday 30th Sept and 1st Oct the Cosacss held their annual ‘B’ Grade Open Meet, which attracted swimmers from far and wide, and twenty-five swimmers from the Danes tried their luck |

Teaspoon Gala 17th September 2006 Sheffield On Sunday 17th September it was the 24th Annual Teaspoon Gala held at Ponds Forge, Sheffield and a large contingent of 22 swimmers from the Dane’s made the journey. The gala is swum in a 50m pool and it is a great experience and instead of medals, teaspoons are awarded to the first three places, as Sheffield is renown for silver cutlery. The teaspoon gala was yet another meet where the Dane’s proved their commitment and effort. |

Des Cox Interclub Memorial 29th July 2006 The Des Cox Memorial Gala was held at Congleton Leisure Centre on Saturday 29th July. It was contested by three teams made up of past and present Dane Valley Swimmers, the teams being, the Black, Yellow and White teams ( Dane Valley Colours ). |
