What D.V.A.S.C are about ?

Welcome to the official website of Dane Valley Amateur Swimming Club, D.V.A.S.C. known as the 'Danes' .

We are a competitive swimming club and therefore our focus is providing swimmers with the skills they need to compete at all levels.

The club participate in various competitive events throughout the year. From the pre competition group upwards, swimmers will be expected to participate in competitions on behalf of the club, the Head Coach will choose the team he wishes for that event.

The Danes is one of 62 competitive swimming clubs in Cheshire .The club provides coaching for children of all ages and abilities from improvers to swimmers who swim within the club. Everyone in the club who competes is a member of the A.S.A.

Learning to swim is important and the club offers swimming lessons for children aged 5 and above. The programme follows Amateur Swimming Association (A.S.A) National swimawards. For further information on swimming lessons click here

The Danes is currently working towards Swim21 accreditation, requiring the demonstration of high standards in 21 areas, such as safety,communication and skills development.
